Mark Indictor's Upcoming Appearances
as of Saturday, December 31, 2005

Hello my fiddle-lovinÕ friendsÉ

ItÕs the last day of 2005. Here in rainy Southern California, weÕre only eight hours away from 2006. Once again, a year has come and gone with ever increasing speed.

This time of year, we take pause to consider our blessings. We also tend to be more attuned to the hardships and blessings of others in the world. I am thankful that we have these brief weeks of heightened awareness with which to consider our place in the world, and how we affect everyone else in it. If we can see past the Christmas displays in October, and the ÒBuy EverythingÓ SPAM from the holiday money machine, the Holiday Season is indeed a time for giving and reflection.

For me, this year has been a very busy year, full of things for which to be thankful. I have finally found a balance of work, music, and family that, though tenuous, seems to work most of the time. My main battle these days is just finding the time and energy to be with everyone I love, and give everything I have to give. I plan on working on that in this next year Ð finding a way to increase my personal energy to allow me to embrace all of the blessings I have to give and receive. I was inspired recently when I went to see the production of Irving BerlinÕs ÒWhite ChristmasÓ at the Pantages Theater. I would just like to share a short excerpt from the lyrics to the song ÒCount Your BlessingsÓ from that show:

When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings

What a wonderful production, and a beautiful message as well.

Thank you all for your continued support, and for coming to see the shows that I have participated in. Thank you for enjoying my music, and for being my friends. Thank you for making my life more complete and meaningful through your participation in it.

I wish all of you health, prosperity, joy, and fulfillment in the New Year.

Happy New Year to everyone!

See you at the gig.
